After returning from my holiday I discovered that my car had a scratch on the rear bumper. So it was reported, photos taken, incident report filled in, told to get 2 quotes and they would sort out payment. All very easy I thought and went away happy in the fact that they would pay for the damage they had caused.
After sending through my quotes I received a letter saying that they will not be paying out because there is no evidence to suggest that it was their fault. Apparently the cameras had been checked from when we arrived and they couldn't determine whether or not the scratch was already there...we arrived in the dark, so I doubt they would be able to tell anyway!! Asking them to look at more footage to determine if the scratch was there has since been completely ignored.
I have used APH Gatwick a lot of times over the last few years, but after this last experience I will definitely not be using them again! The most important thing for me is keeping my car safe which they have completely failed to do so and won’t take responsibility for what is clearly their fault. Seems such a shame that the small print is completely letting down the efficiency and professionalism of the reception staff and coach drivers!
Only use this company if you don't care what they do to your car!!
