Myself and my two children were going away for a cheapie week!! We booked ADP to kmeet and greet us at a cost of £38.00 paid using PAYAL!!!
We set off at 3.45 am for a 6.00am flight We were told to call 20 minutes before we reached Gatwick, which I did and they answered the mobile saying they would see us there. It was pouring with rain and the traffic was awful so we were a little late. I called to say we had arrived and the mobile said "Unauthorised Usage". I tried and tried and tried, still the same thing. I called the office number and the girl said she would call them and then ring me back. We waited and waited - no call. I again called her and the phone was not answered. Eventually I told the children to go and check the bags in and wait for me. 20 mins after that, I realised they were never going to turn up.
I found another car parking company and he said they could take the car £45.00. I did sorted this out but by then our flight had closed!! In order to get ono the next EJ flight we had to pay £50.00 pp. A total of an extra £195!
We continuosly tried calling the company throughout the holiday from various phones to no avail - they would pick up. On our return I managed to speak to someone on a mobile who said they would definitely refund me and be in touch soon. I have heard nothing since.
Paypal will refund the £38.00 but the insurance does not cover the other losses. What started as a cheap week away for a single mum and her two teenagers turn out rather more than expected, ruining the holiday, never mind all the stress we went through at the airport.
How can people do this, especially to families with young children getting back late at night? I am horried and disgusted that they can.
