I made the mistake of booking 2 Wizzair flights recently. I must admitt I was tempted by the pricing: about 200€ for a family of 4 one way from Paris to Wroclaw and similar again from Warsaw to Paris. There are so many hidden costs however that the final cost of the first flight was 410€. Firstly, Wizzair accesses Paris via Beauvais airport, which is about 100km from Paris itself. The cost of getting there from our hotel at Eurodisney was 150euro. Secondly, because we had no way of printing our oarding passes at the hotel, we were charged 60€ for Wizzair to print our 4 boarding passes. As my husband pointed out, we could have bought a printer for this price! For the new total price we could have easily flown with AirFrance or LOT and saved time on transfers. Our second flight was somewhat cheaper because we found a place to print our boarding passes ourselves and sacrificed an additional hour of our time to wait in line for a bus from Beauvais to Paris. The point is, the savings were either non-existant or negligible in comparison with the inconvenience of having to commute further and to experience the cattle-move like journey without assigned seats where families scramble to make sure they can be seated alongside their kids, overhead luggage space is more than limited, and passengers are kept waiting on the tarmac in the heat of the day while the freshly-arrived plane is fuelled and presumably cleaned for the next journey. All in all an annoying experience I will never repeat.
