Turkish Airlines provides horrible services at Istanbul Airport. If you are travelling with individuals in Wheelchairs do not travel with Turkish Airlines as there porter service at Istanbul Airport will not let the individuals with wheelchairs carry their hand luggage. They believe that if you in a wheelchair you are not able to have a carry on with you.
I was actually travelling with my mother and 2 grandmothers who are all in wheel chairs on my way back to Toronto from Mumbai, India. At the stopover in Istanbul Airport the porters that came to get my mother and grandmothers decided that they will not take their carry on and that I would have to carry all their carry on along with my own. I argued with them for over 20 minutes and then they called their supervisor who was as big of a prix as them and he decided to say the same thing as his staff. He wouldn’t even provide me his name or his staff’s name. They were actually hiding their ID cards from me. Over all experience was horrible, never travelling with them again, doesn’t matter how cheap there tickets get.
