We flew from Manchester to Sharm in March. We were allocated seets apart from each other by Thomson's, when I rang the premium rate number to book seats together, I was told that there were no extra leg rooms seats and I could not book a middle and aisle seat only a window and middle seat. Given the appalling 28ins reach seats that Thomson's think are acceptable for a 5hour 40 min flight, an aisle seat is the only chance to move your legs slightly.
There were blank screens throughout the flight, no entertainment whatsoever to break up the tedium and take your mind away from the cramped conditions you are enduring. The food on offer is appalling, expensive bacon rolls which are a tasteless mush and soggy microwave chips, nothing of any nutrional value whatsoever. The plane was freezing and I could hear a number of passsengers complain but to no avail, a ploy to sell the comfort packs one wonders ?
I wrote to Thomson's MD to voice my displeasure at my flight experience with the airline she runs, but did not even have he courtesy of a reply from her, which would indicate that the poor customer service stems from the very top of the organisation.
