Self and wife booked on flight London to Singapore and paid for preferred/legroom seats. Flight cancelled and placed on later flight with no preferred seats available. Notified by email, no offer to refund cost of preferred seats. After several emails and phone calls placed on different flight in preferred seats. Three weeks later receive impersonal, no reply, email advising that my wife's seat has been given to someone else and that she has moved 17 rows from me between 2 strangers in a non preferred seat, without explanation. SIA offered no explanation when called, and advise that they will look into it.Based on past experience of SIA Customer Services I am not holding my breath. Can't imagine any airline would treat 2 pensioners travelling together with such cavalier disregard. What happened to this once brilliant airline?
