“Terrible Customer service”

My wife and I booked in early December 2013 to travel from Leeds Bradford to Alicante the following May. We like to sit together and we booked our seat numbers and paid extra. We received the email confirmation that our booking was accepted and the payment left my account. We booked the Hotel separately to suit the flight dates. On December 24th 2013 I received an email stating that our flight time had changed and we could fly on the following day or we could cancel and get a refund. I complained on the website that I didn't understand how this could happen as the flight was approx. 6 months away and it would cause us a lot of problems. The reply was a standard reply saying that we could either fly on the following day or cancel and receive a refund, giving no indication of why our flight had changed. I can only assume that our seats have been given to other passengers because as far as I can tell from their website the flight is still scheduled to fly but is fully booked. This was the first and only occasion that I would ever give Ryanair my time of day.
