I flew along with my two daughters and two granddaughters from shambolic Leeds Bradford Airport on Friday 18th May 2012. I have never come across such miserable unhelpful staff before. We bought magazines and comics for the flight at the airport and had them put in one carrier bag to make it easier to carry them but they would not let us carry it on the plane. The very unhelpful guy who was making sure everyone's case fitted in the size-o-meter said we had to either put them in the case or take them out of the carrier bag and carry them on, can I just ask where the logic is in that? Another incident involving the same person was an elderly lady just behind us, he told her to put her case in the sizer which she struggled to do but when it came to getting it out she couldn't manage to do so. The guy stood and watched her struggle and in the end my daughter turned round and asked him if he wasn't going to help the lady to which he replied "I'm not allowed" talk about a jobs worth! for goodness sake the case weight a maximum of 10kg. We were then herded through to the gate where we waited, and waited, and waited. Do they have to get you to the gate quite so soon? The cabin crew weren't much better, they were also totally miserable. I have promised myself NEVER to fly with this company again even if it does mean saving a few pounds because what you save on a flight you pay for on the flight, £5.50 for a gin and £1.80 for a tiny (and I mean tiny) can of tonic!! Ryanair is just a greedy company......at lease Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!
