As A seasoned traveller, flying Business Class around the world at least 8 times per year and having Platinum/Emerald status for the past 6 years with at least two carriers. I was amazed at the service of Qantas on a recent flight from LAX-MEL. Upon receiving an SMS confirming an upgrade, I was given an economy seat, with no explaination other than "who sent you an sms" from the counterstaff at LAX. Despite my protestation they slung me down the back...and had the nerve to still deduct the milage from my account. Sorry I was under the impression that such loyalty schemes are to promote relations ??? Sorry..this new Qantas error is not for me, I just wish I could trade my remaining 2M+ FFP... Mr Borghtti here I come !
