I recently flew from Auckland to KL using Malaysian airlines. I was 5kg over and they charged me $196.00 which I paid by credit card. After the transaction was completed and accepted they then started to write down my credit card number and expiry date- I refused to allow them to do that as it reeked of credit card number harvesting and there was no reason for them to do that as the transaction had gone through.I found Malaysian airlines staff to be quite ignorant and overall was very disappointed . I will never fly with them again - I will always use emirates from now on as at least they are a real airlines and for a few dollars more you can fly with confidence.
