I normally enjoy my Easyjet experience but my flight to Glasgow from Belfast was utterly spoiled by their departure check in staff who selected our trolley bag for checking in their cage. Because of the wheels it was "too big" so it "had" to go in the hold & I had to pay £40 otherwise they threatened to remove me from the flight. I would add that this "service" is executed by an outside firm called Menzies who I understand from the press are on commission for their "sales success" If I had known that this bag that I have been using for over 5 years was "too big" then I would have used an alternative, the fact that it easily fitted into an Airbus A319 overhead locker seems to be irrelevant so I would love to know how Easyjet arrived at this restriction
