Delta is my favorite airline, but....
I am a frequent flyer, platinum elite status. I find the program, upgrades confusing, the check in process confusing, the medallion vs regular miles confusing.
Really, I thought as a platinum Sky Miles member I could get upgraded to 1st class a day or two before flight. Well not in Vegas? Go figure, this is where I travel to monthly.
Couldn't "clear" first class online, as a matter of fact had to check in before even knowing where i was on list. then space was available 18 hours before flight but would not assign to me. Then print boarding pass and still no upgrade, then to counter sky miles area, and she was kind of rude, no upgrade then through security, precheck or not? it is a guessing game. i was in right line, but not selected, OK. Through, everything out of pockets, but security asked about something in back pockets and wanted to pat down, run that piece of paper over my hands and make we stew, realized that everyone was getting the pat down today, go figure. Told to get to airport 2 hours early and i know why. Supposed to board 920 but at 910 counter still doesn't have flight "opened" huh? Still no upgrade and sign on counter that 1st class full. The other lady said i was number 2 and 4 avail so did i get one spot or not or is sign for another flight?? whatever, i ask if she had another boarding pas for me, alas, put me in 1st class, now beggers cannot be chosers but with 4 seats, and two carry on-s i would have liked to chose the non bulkhead
