“An utter disgrace.”

I flew CA (with Transat, their parent company) from Toronto to Gatwick in January. The flight was delayed by bad weather - not their fault. What was their fault was the response. We were due to depart at 10pm. At 2am we started boarding (no meal vouchers in the meantime) and then sat on the plane until 5am before a glass of water was offered. No information. We then left at 7am and flew to Montreal where we were offloaded for four hours. No food. Coffee arrived after two hours. Left Montreal at midday local time and, on a 6-hour flight to London were given just a tiny slice of pizza. That's it. Nothing else. Arrived Gatwick 11.30 pm local time so obviously missed my train and had to stay overnight (which they did pay for). They promised to pay for the train (£61 single) but then, six weeks later, told me I had been "misinformed" and refused payment. Utterly disgraceful and when you look at all the comments about them on this and other review sites you will see there are far too many problems for a normal airline. If you travel beware. And they are no cheaper than the real airlines. Never again !
