As a Qantas Frequent Flyer I often fly on airlines in the 'One World Alliance', unfortunately BA are members. My most regular travelled route is Perth-Singapore-London. British Airways codeshare this route with Qantas. After flying this route with Qantas a number of times I am able to make a rather decent and fair comparison. Considering that BA and Qantas are 'One World Alliance', one would expect some sort of continuity. BA has extremely dated cabins, poor entertainment systems and staff that make you feel as if they are doing you a favour by merely being aboard the plane. This is a stark difference to Qantas, where the tickets are often cheaper, the baggage restrictions regards surf boards less restrictive, planes newer, better equipped and staff friendly and helpful.
I would advise anyone travelling routes to and from Australia to avoid BA and opt for another airline.
