I missed my flight from Riyadh to Manchester, so BA cancelled the return flight too! Standard proceedure they said, its on the terms and conditions (which I was never given!) I complained to customer services. At first they didnt want to know citing the Ts & Cs, then they (eventually) told me I AM entitled to a refund of the unused portion of my ticket through the travel agent, who refused to refund as it wasnt him who left me stranded at the airport. I argued some more with BA, and they relented and promised me a refund. 3 months later, still no refund so I went back to customer services. They have now gone back to their original stance of "no refund".
SO...the upshot is, they have taken money for a service they then refused to provide, promised a refund and then changed their mind, effectively showing their contempt and putting 2 fingers up at the customer.
