If you think you find a deal with American Airline prices, think again. You might as well figure in the cost of new luggage into your trip expense. We fly very often but this was our first experience with American. We used our same quality bag that has made it literally around the world without a scratch. On our trip to our destination the bag came back with large tears and scuffs on all four corners. On the return trip our bag had two large tears and everything inside was completely crushed (this was not the normal pressurization shrinking but true having been crushed). They refused to do anything about our torn bag because all of them were near a seam and so it was probably a "poor quality bag and we filled it to full". Again, we have traveled with this same bag many many times with alot more in it and it never even had a scratch. They also managed to lose our other bag. And again, none of it was their fault. On the flight out the TV's broke as well. It was a 9.5 hour flight, and they also could not offer any allergen free options so I was unable to eat anything. I do not recommend this company.
