Booked Air NZ Hamilton to Wellington and back same day for an important business meeting. Flight cancelled due to fog. Air NZ offered to bus me to Auckland to catch a later flight to Wellington, but as this would get me into Wellington long after the meeting was over, no point. I was told I would get a refund.
Just checked my bank two weeks later and they haven't refunded anything. Called Customer Service (what a joke that is) and was told that I would not get a refund for the second flight as it was a non refundable ticket. I could not get an answer as to how they expected me to catch the second flight if they didn't get me there in the first place. Absolute highway robbery. From now on, I will drive to Auckland to fly Jetstar.
