For me, Air Canada is the only carrier that flies out of my hometown on a regular basis. As such, I am subjected to it everytime I wish to go anywhere. Unfortunately for me, flights are always inexplicably 10-30 minutes late. I cannot remember a single time when an Air Canada flight left on time. If you must fly this carrier, use your take-off as a general time for when boarding will begin.

The food's edible, but on short hauls, you only get pretzels and a small drink. The seatback TV's usually have at least two decent films. For the flight crew, it can be a mixed bag. Sometimes, they're understanding and polite, while other times they're rude and cold. Most times, they can't speak French that well.

The key problem with Air Canada is that they have remained unopposed in the Canadian airline business for much too long. They're basically now a discount carrier with insane prices and leg space. Avoid, unless you have no other choice. Which you probably don't, if you're flying anywhere besides a big city.
