This is my 2nd HW80. Great weihrauch build quality and fantastic trigger unit.
There are many positives about this rifle and these could be said about most Weihrauch rifles. There is also a couple of so so comments to make.
The stock styling isn`t as attractive as say an HW95. The fore end looks kinda out dated and old fashioned compared to other WEihrauchs.
Still, it feels good in the hand. I don`t know whats going on here but it feels more powerful when the trigger is pulled. Like the spring is huge and theres a lot going on inside. Recoil is quite harsh compared to 97s 77s and the smaller rifles.
Out of the packaging the rifle was instantly over the legal limit with some pellets which I won`t mention. After finding a pellet that was accurate and legal I went hunting.
Rats are taken out at any range. If you hit them anywhere thats them out of the game. My old Air Arms TX200 seemed to need accurate shots to stop rats from crawling or running away injured. The 80 seems to stop them dead even fluke shots at 50 yards supposing they`re hit in the butt. They just roll over a few times and thats it.
Gun id very heavy and awkward to lumber about though at times. Power using chrono gauge is 11.95 feet pounds using H and N Barracudas.

Have to agree on the power thing with the 80s. Pretty borderline and can really throw out a pellet. Where i disagree though is a rifle with a pound or so of power less shoots much nicer.
