“WHY DOES THE BARREL GET SO DIRTY SO QUICKLY??”

Could anybody shed any light on my problem with this gun,it is accurate,but after only 10 shots when you look down the barrel its full of dirt,ive tried all the different rounds,with no change,remington boatail is most accurate,along with 20grain CCI,it has a sak silencer,i seem to clean the barrel much more than shoot it,really not happy with this gun atall (read more)

Hi I am sorry to hear this. Weihrach HW60J is a very good gun. Its not the guns fault, its .17hmr round. Its well know for generating a mix of powered residue and fowling from the bullet. Fire and clean is all you can do. If you look up some of the other threads, they may be a good way of cleaning the barrel. Keep going, I was looking at one of these, but in .22lr. Stew

Hello me again,well after getting this rifle fully floated,as it should have been to start with,thanks Weihrauch!Ive also put a Hogan Decemator,quieter than the sak(bit)and a much better scope,10x40 bushnell Elite instead of the Bushnell Legend,now it groups up 3/4inch 100yards,but what a carry-on,first shot a living thing today,60yards the pigeon got away with it because of the flower stem infront of it where the bullet exploded,nem mind
