I liked the look of this SMK 208 based rifle and was able to secure a decent deal, having closely inspected I am amazed at the quality for the price. The barrel is a little stiff at first but soon breaks in with regular use. Being a little handy with tools I invested in a popular tune kit with advice from the UKAGF owners website (brilliant) to polish up the action. Before fitting the rifle was putting out around 10.5ft/lbs, now 11.2 without effort. The accuracy is excellent at the range I use it in (up to 30m) with RWS Superdomes or AA fields and easily matches other rifles I own (all springers, just love em)The synthetic stock is a very good fit to the action and grippy with the chequering on the pressure areas, and the blueing is ,imho, up to european standards. In use the rifle is punchy and powerful, controllable and a pleasure to use, although if you read the mainstream airgun forums anything made in China is rubbish. I decided to handle myself prior to purchase and thats what made my mind up to purchase. Yes, I know I have fitted a tune kit but a good lube is all thats needed, and I have stripped and improved all my rifles regardless of manufacture, makes it a much more personal possesion for me. So to summarise dont be put off by negative comments, try and find a local supplier and handle the goods! You will be surprised!
