I realized as soon as I picked up the Model 34 that it was quite light and very easy to bring up and hold to an aim. The build quality of the metalwork is A-one and the wooden stock is also well made and finished. Diana deserves full marks for the M34, it really is a beautiful unit. Cocking is reasonably easy, much the same as any other 1000fps rated air rifle. Recoil is also inline with others similarly powered. If you mount a scope, be sure to use a good quality one with a good one piece mount to hold it. The new T06 trigger is a dream to fire, very light, crisp and predictable, which brings me to accuracy, obviously something that the M34 goes hand in hand with. A good combination of weight, weight bias, with a good scope and the T06 trigger, lets you drop pellets into the tiniest of circles. At a guess, I'd say the M34 is capable of shooting as good as the shooters technique will allow it to. You might shoot all over the place but I'd again say that's your fault not the rifle's. If you can hold steady in your aim, the Model 34 will let you enjoy thr fruits of your good aiming all day. Just choose your pellets carefully. I wont make any recommedations here but stick to mid weight pellets of a good reputation and I'm sure you wont go wrong.
The Diana (RWS) Model 34 is probably the very best in its class. It may cost a few bucks more but it is well worth every extra dollar...
