I sold my old pcp and decided on a break barrel for the odd rat - I live rural - to hopefully kill clean. This Hatsan is fantastic value for money. It fires to the limit yet is remarkably accurate once broke in. I reccommend firing at least a 100 thru when new before zeroing and measuring etc. For £135 I got the Striker 1000S with factory fitted moderator plus a very good 3-9x40 telescopic sight. I usually shoot 'classic' Brit or German guns, so I was interested to try out this budget option. 1st time I've tried a gun with a synthetic stock. Feels OK, & the gun handles well. The fibre optic sights are a first for me as well, & the gun is quick to acquire targets. It does seem to have a lot of spring noise - possibly amplified by the synthetic stock. I bought this air rifle for my 13 year old son 6 months ago , I paid £125 for it from my local RFD. This is the synthetic stock model the stock is decent quality with rubber grip inserts at the fore end and pistol grip making the rifle pretty easy to handle even in damp or wet conditions , the metal parts are blued to a good standard and the barrel if fitted with a plastic cocking aid at the end with true glow fore sight and iron sight built in .
