I purchased this rifle 3 years ago and we had a rocky start. It is completely unlike any air rifle I have ever fired in the past and I excused it's poor shooting with a personal lack of skill. In my mind there was no way such a rifle could shoot so poorly. At any distance over 25 feet you best be shooting at a decent size car because that's going to be your pattern. This is not just off-hand shooting I must insist. I have put this rifle in a bench rest, tried offhand, prone, kneeing, standing, against a tree, sitting, even ratchet strapped to a bench rest staked in the ground. RATCHET STRAPPED! Personally, I have run tests in which I have cut sugar and caffiene out of my diet. Controlled my food intake, even took up running for a few months while the gun sat in the closet. I even began weight lifting with my left arm in an attempt to hold it steadier. All rage and jokes aside, my little one's nerf gun shoots better then this with both guns being fired at a target 20 feet away.
The rifle is well built, sold plastic stock, smooth break barrel and a crisp trigger pull. The fiber optic sights are of high quality and easy to see, and the barrel is rifled very well. The scope (mine came with a scope) is VERY nice and will be salvaged and put on a more respectable gun. My rifle is kept in a climate controlled setting with others. The rifle has its own hard plastic foam lined case and is oiled and cleaned daily. Silicon oil is used on the rubber seals to keep them fresh. The gun is well cared for though deep down I don't know why I bother for such a waste of time.
The reason, I believe, why this weapon is such a poor performer, is its power source...a spring. When fired the spring goes forward with such force is shakes the hell out of the weapon causing unimaginable muzzle jump and making your round go off in some wild angles.
This rifle is easily out performed by 50 dollar multi-pump pellet rifles made by daisy, or even grizzly. Easily out performed by decent pellet and bb pistols as well. The gun is piece of junk in short, and having always held a great deal of respect for guns I never thought I'd say this, but I hate this rifle.
Pros
Solidly built
Great machining
Easy to use
Cons
Un-accurate as hell!
Use your money and buy a rubber band gun, then bend the barrel at a 30 degree angle. That way you can get the same kind of performing gun at a faction of the price. After your done playing, then buy a rifle worth its salt.
