I have thought about getting a break barrel pellet gun for a long time. A few weeks ago I was in a local pawn shop looking for deals, and I saw a Crosman Storm XT, and decided to take a look. It was in great condition, and I decided I'd give it a shot. I got them down to $35.00 and took it home.
I started out by checking the scope mounts, and they were a little lose, after tightening them up I grabbed some old pellets I had at the house and tried it out. To my surprise it shot very good groups.
I have a swinging .22 target set up about 40 yards from my front porch, and I've spent the past few weeks plinking the one thats the size of a squirrels head.
I think I got very lucky finding this rifle for $35 dollars, and I think if the previous owner had checked the scope mount they never would have sold it.
