“Old time fun”

Written on: 23/07/2012

I have three versions of this gun one is all metal and chrome plated one is as per the picture the third is like the second but with plastic grips. they all have one thing in common they are poor shots with pellets but not to bad with darts. If you get one first make shure it has the screw in plug at the back of the barrel and the washer ( usualy a soft leather type of thing ) it wont work without them. You will need .177 pellets or cup slugs (not BB's) and .177 darts. As I say pellets are about as much good as a one legged man in an bum kicking contest but with darts it can be lot of fun just draw a target on a bit of soft wood (not plywood)and you can have a lot of fun. Unlike the USA where most kids start there shooting with BB guns In the uk it was guns like this that were a lot of kids first introduction into shooting. Dont expect to much in the way of range the triger is as heavy as they get and pushing in the barrel is quite hard after a while but I have had hours of fun using this type of pistol be it Diana GAT Milbro even Webley had one about 10 years ago. So if you find one going cheep buy it get sone darts and have a bit of fun. Remember that guns like this have been around for over 120 years so they did somthing rite and when new thay were allwase cheep low end and disposable fun guns so good ones are getting scarce. On second thaughts dont touch them they are rubish that way I will be able to buy more at a fair price for my collection ;)
