With routine care, you should have no problem out of your Acura....I bought mine brand new, (Acura CL Type S 2001) did all my schedule maintenance, and I swear, I never even had a warning light come on in my car.....no problems at all....as far as the tranmission, no problems at all.

My 2003 CL Type S is on its 3rd automatic transmission and it is giving me problems. The dealership where I bought the car says their service department makes a living on just the new transmissions they install on the 2002-2003 Acuras. Don't buy Acura they have made some defected cars. Especially on the Acura CL 2001-2003
Take my word, I know because I own one and it is happening to me right now.
