Over the years I have spent a small fortune on products/treatments to try to combat facial redness. All to no avail. Recently I stumbled across Zenmed on the internet and, due to their impressive website and the reviews on their site/facebook, I ordered their rosacea serum (anti redness support serum). The cost of the serum was £23 and, although the site was a UK site, the postage was £9.50. I thought this was steep, but reluctantly paid it as I wanted to try the product. Today I was advised by the Royal Mail that a further £12.43 was owed, due to 'customs charge'. So basically I have paid £21.93 in carriage for a product costing £23!! I contacted the laughingly entitled 'customer service' at Zenmed to complain about this and was told they 'sympathised', but, basically, it was my tough cheds.
They have 'future plans' to do what I thought they were already doing - getting a stock in the UK to send out to people in the UK. But currently they do not.
They admitted they were well aware that Brits are getting charged this additional custom tax, but, quote, 'there is nothing they can do'. Well, actually there is... they could HIGHLIGHT on their website that the delivery will be subject to an additional charge. Had I seen that, I would not have bothered.
Cannot even comment on the product yet, as I have yet to pay the PO charge and receive it. It had better be bloody good after all this!! I would NOT RECOMMEND Zenmed based on the customer service so far.
