Item: Acer TravelMate 4001LCI
My new computer will not be an Acer - I cannot recommend Acer.
I would always recommend the 3 year warranty - built in obsolescence seems to kick in just after one year. Wonder why? Therefore I do not recommend Acer Travel Mate

Item: Acer Aspire 1650
Light and now a good price, but as far as I am concerned this is old technology the general layout is now in newer models
no support a wast of money for me now therefore I do not recommend Acer Aspire

Item: Acer Aspire 1650
Good value for money.
No problems after 2 years, running Office, Dreamweaver & Photoshop. It is a secondary machine though, therefore I well recommend Acer Aspire 1650.

Item: Acer Aspire 5315
Unfortunately I bought the older version of this the Aspire 5315. It only has 512 MB of RAM, an 80 GIG HDD and no built in web cam
but Its nice for its money and i did get it with about 25% off the RRP
It looks good, casing also feels like it could take a hard knock or two and survive.
It has a very nice screen, its bright, clear, sharp, the colors are very strong and natural.
Vista was ever so slightly choppy with the 512 of RAM but i upgraded it to to 1.5 GIG, that i ...

I would not recommend this produce as it has a serious design fault and is likely to fail within a short time.
