i have an 88 Dodge Raider i love it even though it's only the snow 4 cylinder. I took it through independence pass in a snow storm i passed Range Rover's and Toyota Tundra's stuck in the snow. it drinks oil like gas but i need an oil pan gasket. over 250,000 miles and it trucks on

1987 dodge raider, only 75,000km. Reliable I4. Small and good fuel economy, on the automatic model the over drive helps a lot to keep the rpm's down.

The Dodge Raider is actually made by Mitsubishi, Japanies reliablity!
Short Wheel Base goes anywhere! Simple construction with small reliable engine results is good fuel economy for no frills SUV. 170,000 miles with lots of dirt and still runs like a champ (with repairs, but hey). O how I lova tis twruck!

Most Raiders with manual transmissions had a problem with wear causing the lever to pop out of gear; most with more than 80K miles have had a dealer repair kit applied to fix the problem. Otherwise, it's a great little rig but a reluctant freeway cruiser.
