Overall Rating

- Customer Service

- Reliability

- Speed Consistency

BT internet is possibly the worst internet provider I have ever encountered. Truthfully it was easy to set up, but once set up there are an immense amount of downfalls. Paying for 8meg? BT rarely ever reaches 2meg and the consistency is appalling, one week I will get around 1.5meg, others it will drop to as low as 0.5meg. The upload is no better and sits around 30kbs which is no where near what I am paying for. Also the value for money on the download limit is very low, a mere 10mb a month. If you are into internet gaming, BT is a no go also with limited speeds and unreliable connection.
As for customer service, 90% of the time you will speak to someone in India, to be honest you are much better going with a smaller company such as Plus Net who have a range of services and can check how much of your internet limit you have used in that month, a service with BT (who are supposedly the best internet provider in the UK) do not.
Overall BT is a terrible internet provider, for the lower packages, I have not tried the top package with the Home Hub but judging on the quality of this service it is not worth it. GO ELSEWHERE!
